Looking for something cute and delicious to make for Super Bowl Sunday? Look no further. Football deviled eggs are a fun way to spice up ordinary deviled eggs, and they’re sure to be a hit on game day. Even the most obnoxious and macho fan in the room will tell you how cute these are (it’s not guaranteed, but it’s worth a try!)…

You can make these with chives, but chives are often inaccessible or expensive. I stick with scallions/green onions since they’re easier to find. Prepare some basic deviled eggs and top it with strips of green onion, and you’ll transform a classic appetizer into the perfect snack for any football game. Grab a green onion and chop just the green part off. We won’t use the white parts for this project.

Cut the green top in half…. and in half again. We want thin long strips of scallion.

Then cut 1-centimeter long pieces.

And also cut pieces that are about 2.5-centimeters long. These pieces will form the stitches, or laces, for the footballs.

Top the deviled eggs with the pieces of scallion. Three stitches will do the trick. Aren’t they adorable? Eat up. And enjoy the Super Bowl!
